Big heartfelt congratulations to our friend Tom Voytek from Connecticut, who picked up the Ibanez Xiphos XPT700BCM guitar we gave away at the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival. Tom beat out hundreds of entries and can currently be seen kicking ass all over New England with that green six-string masterpiece. Way to go, brother. Special thanks to Ibanez and NEMF for ruling so hard.

Following the still-fresh release Eternal Jewel, Darsombra's CD release show is Saturday in Baltimore, MD. Additionally, Darsombra's Brian Daniloski and Public Guilt Records have released new videos of the soloist mastering his craft live, which showcase exactly how these soundscapes are created and captured. Feb 2008 Metal Maniacs
In 2007, Darkthrone release F.O.A.D. (Fuck Off And Die), an album every bit as friendly as its name suggests. Half the songs on said album were about how awesome Darkthrone is. Needless to say, they won the award for Most Accurate Song Content. They’re old, they’re angry and they’re Norwegian. What more could be asked of a Maniacs cover contender?
